Welcome: These terms govern your use of the Hikmeh Foundation website and participation in our programs. By accessing our website or enrolling in programs, you agree to these terms.

1. About Hikmeh Foundation

Hikmeh Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the State of North Carolina. Our mission is to cultivate purpose in youth by helping them discover their identity, develop their potential, and build foundations for lasting success.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting inquiries, donating, volunteering, or enrolling in our programs, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you are enrolling a minor in our programs, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian with authority to agree to these terms on their behalf.

3. Program Participation

3.1 Eligibility

Our programs are designed for specific age groups as indicated in program descriptions. Participants must meet eligibility requirements and provide accurate information during enrollment.

3.2 Enrollment

Program enrollment is subject to:

  • Availability of space in the program
  • Completion of required registration forms
  • Parental/guardian consent for minors
  • Agreement to program guidelines and code of conduct

3.3 Code of Conduct

All participants, volunteers, and staff are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect and dignity
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Participate actively and honestly
  • Respect confidentiality of other participants
  • Follow program guidelines and staff instructions

Violation of the code of conduct may result in removal from programs.

3.4 Media and Photography

We may take photographs or videos during programs for promotional and educational purposes. By participating, you consent to the use of such media unless you notify us in writing otherwise. We never publicly identify youth participants by name without explicit consent.

4. Donations

4.1 Tax-Deductible Contributions

Hikmeh Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for your records.

4.2 Use of Donations

Unless designated for a specific purpose, donations are used at the Foundation's discretion to support our mission and programs. If a designated purpose cannot be fulfilled, we will contact you to discuss alternatives or refund your donation.

4.3 Refund Policy

Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us within 30 days and we will review your request.

5. Volunteering and Mentorship

5.1 Volunteer Requirements

Volunteers working directly with youth must:

  • Complete a volunteer application
  • Pass a background check
  • Attend required training sessions
  • Agree to our volunteer code of conduct
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with participants

5.2 Volunteer Status

Volunteers are not employees of Hikmeh Foundation. Volunteer service does not create an employment relationship or entitlement to compensation.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and program materials, is owned by or licensed to Hikmeh Foundation. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

6.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to access our website for personal, non-commercial use. Program participants may use provided materials for personal educational purposes.

7.1 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Hikmeh Foundation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation in our programs or use of our website.
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to the Foundation (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.
